MDO Meet Day · For officials
Meets run on volunteers in white shirts. MDO Meet Day gets them registered, checked in and assigned without a line at the officials' table — then carries the work itself: the calls, the relay take-offs, and the slips on their way to the referee.
Formerly MDO Official — same app, a name that matches what it now does.
From the parking lot to the pool deck
The handful of things an official needs on meet day, in the order they need them — starting before they have even found the officials' table.
New to this meet? Join with the officials' code and register on the spot — the meet staff sees you right away.
Check in for each session from your phone, so the referee knows who's on deck before the briefing.
Position, session and notes from the meet staff — where to stand and what to watch.
Briefings, warm-ups and session starts at a glance, with the heat sheet and order of events a tap away.
Schedule changes and notices from the meet desk arrive on your phone, not by runner.
Your officiating certifications, carried in the app — ready when the referee asks what you're signed off for.
The work itself
A call written on the phone reaches the referee and the meet desk as it is made, with the swimmer, the event, the heat and the lane already filled in from the live meet.
Pick the lane, the swimmer and the reason from the USA Swimming list, then read it back before you send it.
Record each leg's take-off on the sheet and submit it for the heat, instead of passing paper up the deck.
Slips route to whoever is reviewing — the chief judge or the referee — who confirms or dismisses before anything reaches the results.
Every call you've written today, and what happened to it, so a question at the table has an answer.
Something wrong with a position, the equipment or the schedule? Report it from where you're standing.
When a start or a swim is waiting on you, the app says so rather than leaving the desk guessing.
